Unlike typical needle-felted sculptures made just for display, a Solaciel Doll is crafted to be gently held, posed, and cherished in everyday life. Move the head, hands, and feet; hold its hand; hug it; stroke its head—and feel a growing sense of presence each time you interact. A Solaciel Doll is not only an artwork; it becomes a companion that illuminates your daily moments.
While many felted sculptures are very light, Solaciel Dolls contain plastic pellets in the torso to give a natural, comforting weight. Each coat is hand-rooted with wool colors chosen specifically for that pet, creating a gentle warmth when held.
Because wool can wear or tangle with frequent handling, each doll is dressed in a custom-knit outfit made to protect its coat. If your pet had a favorite toy color or a color that reminds you of them, we can incorporate that into the knit—making the doll even more personal.
The doll-like form is a defining feature of Solaciel Dolls. Rather than using hard materials for teeth, claws, noses, or tongues, Solaciel preserves a soft overall appearance. When features like a tongue or teeth are part of a pet's identity, they are carefully crafted from wool to keep the harmony. The face is rendered with devoted attention to resemblance, while the body is artfully stylized into a warm, doll-like shape that retains the essence of your pet.
On request, a small hidden pocket can be added to the doll's back to hold a tiny keepsake such as a lock of fur or a small amount of ashes. Please seal the keepsake securely in a plastic bag before placing it inside. Once the surrounding fur is smoothed, the pocket becomes invisible, allowing your keepsake to rest safely without the risks of sending precious remains overseas. This option lets you place a part of your pet within the doll—turning that moment into a meaningful memory.
No matter how you look at him, he is unmistakably our beloved Peetah. I can’t help but pet him and tell him ‘You’re so cute’ over and over every day. We’re truly grateful to be able to live with his presence—no, his very being—again, just as he used to quietly sit somewhere in the room with his ears perked up, listening to everything we said.

Once we’ve sent you the “Production Start” email, cancellations are not accepted. If you wish to cancel before production begins, we can accept it with a cancellation fee of 500 CAD (to cover material preparation and design costs).
The fur and body are made from 100% wool, while the inside is filled with 100% polyester for softness and resilience. The joints are made of plastic, making them safe for those with metal allergies. The eyes are made of glass, so please be careful not to hit them against hard objects, as they may break.
Beloved Peetah, our precious rabbit. When he was alive, he would always start eating whenever my wife and I sat down for our meals — such a sweet little soul. “Who decided that we can't live together after death?” Even after his body reached the end of its life, we continued to talk to him every day, to travel with him, and to share our meals with him — as naturally as ever. Photographs could capture his presence, but I often wished I could hold him again in my arms and feel his weight one more time. From that longing, Solaciel Doll was born.
